The European Aerospace Committee (EAC), a joint initiative of the FTCC & TEBA, will organize a special presentation on the French Indo-Pacific Strategy & French Operations in the Region, featuring RADM Ludovic Poitou, Head of the International Security Affairs Department at the Directorate General for International Relations and Strategy of the Ministry for the Armed Forces, and BG Eric Vaglio, Head of the Bilateral Cooperation South Division at the Joint Armed Forces.

The officers will provide insights into France's strategic approach in the Indo-Pacific region, with a particular focus on operations like the Clémenceau 25 mission around the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier. France’s Indo-Pacific strategy seeks to maintain an open, inclusive region, free from coercion, and based on multilateralism and respect for international law.
As an Indo-Pacific power with overseas territories and exclusive economic zones, France defends its sovereignty through a permanent presence of 7,000 deployed personnel and five military commands. The presentation will also cover the key security and defense pillars of France’s strategy, including its extensive defense diplomacy network, regular military exercises, and large-scale force projections, such as the recent aircraft carrier deployment.
